Process of selection for Pourakarmika
The Tumakuru Pourakarmika Direct Payment Recruitment 2026 selection process is based on the service conditions and special categories defined in the notification, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner, Tumakuru.
Merit Based on Existing Service: Priority is given to candidates who have been working for at least one year in the concerned ULB on outsourced/daily wage/contract basis as Pourakarmikas, loaders, UGD helpers, cleaners, helpers and other sanitation workers with valid ESI and PF records certified by the competent authority.
Special Priority Categories: Family members of Pourakarmikas who died while working (including due to Covid‑19) and persons or family members identified as victims under the Manual Scavengers Act are also considered under special categories, subject to proper certification.
No Reservation under Direct Payment: The notification clarifies that this direct payment recruitment process is not governed by the statutory reservation provisions applicable to regular recruitment, and appointments will be made strictly under the specific direct payment rules and government circulars.
Final Decision by Selection Committee: The Direct Payment Pourakarmika Recruitment Selection Committee headed by the Deputy Commissioner, Tumakuru, reserves the final authority regarding scrutiny of applications, preparation of selection list and all decisions related to appointment.
