Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Applicants must possess the necessary academic qualifications from a recognized institution:

• Professor/Additional Professor: Postgraduate degree (MD/MS/M.Ch/DM/DNB) in the respective discipline along with relevant teaching/research experience.

• Associate Professor: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned specialty with at least 6 years of teaching/research experience.

• Assistant Professor: MD/MS/DNB/MDS with a minimum of 3 years of teaching or research experience post-specialization.

Candidates applying for surgical super-specialty posts must have relevant M.Ch./DM or equivalent degrees.

Experience Requirements

The required years of experience for each position varies:

• Professor: At least 14 years of teaching/research experience

• Additional Professor: 10 years of experience in the relevant field

• Associate Professor: 6 years

• Assistant Professor: 3 years

Age Limit

• Maximum Age Limit: 50 years (for all posts as of the closing date)

• For Professor (on contract): Age limit may be extended up to 70 years

• Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-servicemen: As per Central Government norms

Selection Process

• Associate Professor: Level 13-A1

• Assistant Professor: Level 12
