In a significant move aimed at enhancing the recruitment process for temporary employees, Haryana Kaushal Rojgar Nigam (HKRN) has recently made amendments to its policy, receiving approval from the Chief Minister. The revised policy, set to be released soon, introduces changes in the scoring criteria for additional educational qualifications and work experience for the state government.

Under the revised policy, the points awarded for the Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana have been discontinued, previously providing 50 points. The initial selection process, which was based on 150 points, has been reduced to 100 points.

Moreover, there is now a 5-year relaxation in the maximum age limit. Employees appointed under HKRN can serve until the age of 58, providing them with an extended service period.

Additional skill qualifications will now contribute five points, compared to the previous 20 points.

Key Changes in HKRN Policy:

  1. Age Limit and Relaxation: The minimum age limit remains 18 years, while the maximum age limit is now 42 years, with a relaxation of up to 5 years. This relaxation is applicable not only to reserved categories but also in lieu of work experience. For each year of experience, a maximum of 5 years of age relaxation is granted, meaning one year of service equates to one year of age relaxation. However, individuals with more than 5 years of service experience will still receive a maximum of 5 years of age relaxation.
  2. Additional Skill Qualifications: Candidates will now be awarded five points for additional skill qualifications, a reduction from the previous 20 points.
  3. Leave Entitlement: Employees under HKRN are now eligible for one Casual Leave (CL) and one Medical Leave per month on a pro-rata basis. However, the maximum limit is set at 10 Casual Leaves and 10 Medical Leaves annually. Female employees will also benefit from maternity leave.
  4. Changes in District Priority Clause: The previous clause giving priority to experienced candidates within the district has been deleted. Now, if a qualified candidate is not available in the respective or neighboring districts, the opportunity will be extended to other eligible candidates.
  5. Updated Scoring Criteria: The selection process now scores a maximum of 100 points based on various criteria, including family income verification, age verification from the family recognition certificate, additional skill qualifications, additional educational qualifications, social and economic criteria, Common Eligibility Test (CET) qualification, EoJ (Ease of Deployment) score, and state government work experience.

These changes signify a strategic move by HKRN to streamline the selection process, focusing on merit, inclusivity, and aligning with contemporary workforce requirements. The amendments aim to create a fair and efficient recruitment system that benefits both the organization and the prospective employees.
