Eligibility Criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: Professional Degree in Law from a recognized university.

  • Experience: Minimum two years of experience as an advocate. An experience certificate from the President of the District Bar Association or Bar Council is mandatory.

  • Age Limit: 18 to 35 years as of January 1, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable as per HP Government rules:

    • SC/ST/OBC/PWD of HP: 5 years relaxation

    • Ex-Servicemen of HP: As per government norms

Selection Process:

  1. Screening Test (Objective Type – 100 Marks):

    • General Knowledge of HP: 30 marks

    • National & International Affairs: 30 marks

    • Knowledge of Hindi Language: 20 marks

    • Knowledge of English Language: 20 marks

  2. Subject Aptitude Test (SAT – Descriptive – 120 Marks):

    • Duration: 3 hours

    • Subject-specific questions related to law and legal procedures

  3. Personality Test (Interview – 30 Marks):

    • Minimum Qualifying Marks:

      • General Category: 12 marks

      • Reserved Categories: 9 marks
